LEO MACO is a first-generation Peruvian American cinematographer and director based in Oakland, California.

His work is authentic, textured and imperfectly human.

Leo's documentary and narrative films have screened at film festivals across the country, including SXSW, SFFILM, and BlackStar Film Festival. 

In 2023, Leo was awarded the Alternative Exposure Grant from the Andy Warhol Foundation for the Visual Arts. His latest collaboration, "Through The Storm," received an Emmy Nomination and premiered at the Big Sky Documentary Festival, where it received the Artistic Vision Award.
